Latinos DownUnder speaks English and Spanish, Uruguayan born, living in Sydney, Australia from a young age.

Our Founder

With over 30 year’s experience in Travel and Tourism, Ruben has gained the experience and key contacts within the travel & tourism industry to connect Latin America with Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific region.

Ruben de la Fuente, director of Latinos DownUnder started his tourism career in Sydney, Australia with a world renowned Tour operator selling both outbound and inbound travel. Ruben has the experience and knowledge within the tourism industry to connect, take leadership, develop and promote high quality, unique products to the Latin American market. We are always looking for new products and experiences to offer our clients.

Custom Travel Experiences

Every Year Latinos DownUnder travels to Latin America to meet with new and existing clients wanting to offer Travel to Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific region.

We also attend trade shows in Australia and Overseas to stay in tune with new products and experiences.

Latinos DownUnder Roadshow takes place every 2 years and the next Roadshow will be in 2023 and 2025. This year we are visiting Brazil, Argentina & Chile, we are constantly looking for new opportunities and the ambition to visit new cities and countries in Latin America.

Since our borders opened in 2022 we have seen the return in numbers from Latin America in the following segments, Luxury Travel, Leisure FIT passengers, Families, Business traveller and Group leisure business. Australia & New Zealand are becoming favourable tourism destinations, with travellers’ enjoying nature, culture, Island vacations, wonderful beaches and lifestyle experiences.
